David Rovics,  Thursday evening, October 25th at 8 p.m., at the New Paltz Villlage Hall on Plattekill Avenue in New Paltz.
Rovics, with his hard-hitting, inspiring  "Songs of Social Significance", is a master of sharp political commetary in the tradition of  Phil Ochs, Holly Near, but with a 21st century edge.  He has been called the "musical version of Democacy Now" by well respected radio host Amy Goodman. Pete Seeger says "Listen to David Rovics..." 
The event, which is sponsored by Solar Worx, a local solar and alternate energy advocacy and educational group, and co-sponsored by Caribbean and Latin America Support Project (C.L.A.S.P.), is open to the public for a voluntary contribution of $6-10, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
