Last week during these two hours we aired a special from Egypt with Amy Goodman. Since then crowds have increased, demanding Mubarik step down. Remarkable non violent crowds, with hope and demands, were able to bring down a dictator.  Before I begin my themes today I want to musically honor hope and freedom.  For two weeks you can listen to this show at the archive tab at www.wjffradio.org

53rd annual Grammy's tomorrow night February 13th on CBS.The Canadian group Mumford and Sons will be performing alongside the Avett Brothers and [as Mumford says on their website *deep breath*] Bob Dylan.  They are playing in a tribute to acoustic music and are keeping the song they are doing a secret.  They also added to the soundtrack on Ellen Page's movie JUNO.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced
Neil Young will receive the 2011 Allan Waters
Humanitarian Award at the Juno Awards on March 27, 2011.  
The award, named for late CHUM Ltd. founder ,Allan Waters, recognizes an outstanding Canadian artist who has made a positive contribution to Canadian society through humanitarianism. Past recipients have included Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan and Bruce Cockburn.
